This article, which I have read, shows that during the three months to January, the number of people unemployed totalled 2.03 million. Economists predict that it will rise by 2010 above three million. More and more businesses increase redundancies.
Unemployment reaches the peak. It means that government spending increasing to transfer payments. Such as job seeker allowance etc.
The diagram bellow shows UK unemployment from 1997 to 2009.
I couldn’t think about any relevant business theories to this article.

Second article is named as “Outlook for Swiss economy worsens “. This is about Swiss economy and futher predictions in the economy. Swiss also have rising unemployment and experiencing sharp decrease in Gross Domestic Product.
Also one of the country's most famous chocolate makers, Lindt, missing it growth targets.
